about

Hi, I’m Freya, a yoga therapist*, artist & writer based in Leicester, UK. For over a decade, I have been exploring the therapeutic qualities of practices such as mindful movement, creative meditation, guided relaxation & simple breath work to understand how they can support our overall well-being when applied thoughtfully, with compassion and an appreciation of our individual needs.

There are aspects of the wellness industry that don’t sit well with me, so I quietly don’t subscribe to those parts and instead focus on what I find important, useful and supportive for the people I meet and work with. I am fascinated by the connection between our brains and bodies and am continually expanding my understanding of this intrinsic link from eastern perspectives as well as through contemporary scientific research.

I believe we all deserve to find spaces where our unique & complex humanness is celebrated and respected, so I apply this philosophy to all aspects of my work. I believe that taking the pressure off perfecting your self-care and instead spending quality time with yourself and getting to know what really feels supportive to you, might just be where we find our most compassionate, joyful, peaceful relationships with ourselves and the world around us.
