book a class

I teach two weekly classes at CREATE Studios in the middle of Clarendon Park, Leicester just outside the city centre. These classes are consciously designed to contrast & compliment each other to create a nourishing, balancing tonic for your mental, physical and soulful well-being.

monday | 7-8pm | restore & reconnect | in person

On Mondays, it’s all about creating space in your mind & body. We generally stay low to the ground and move through a few thoughtful shapes & movements that require minimal effort. The intention is to reduce the amount of things you have to think about and do, spend some quality time with yourself, and mentally, physically and energetically prepare for the week ahead.

You can expect to be guided through a few soft stretches, do some gently mobility work, check in with your breath, and practise resting. I’ll give you plenty of space to feel into what you need and figure out how you want to move, so the practice feels like yours and you can take that sense of knowing and honouring yourself and your needs off your mat and into your life.

wednesday | 6-7pm | magic in the mundane | in person

On Wednesdays, we celebrate the life tangled up in our bones and reclaim a sense of awe, wonder & appreciation for our own unique bodies. I’ll guide you through a steady paced, buoyant and generally more upright practice that makes you feel strong without stressing you out.

We’ll take care of all the important things like keeping your back and legs strong and your upper body less tense, but in a refreshing, creative, manageable way. It has been described as somewhat sneaky how a seemingly chilled out practice can actually really challenge you (in a nice way) and help you develop strength and balance. This one is good if you sit a lot for work and you want to remember what it’s like to move, but equally good if you want to do something a bit challenging that doesn’t mean having to go to the gym or an exercise class. *If you’re used to dynamic vinyasa flow type practices, and that’s your vibe, this one might not tick the box for you.

Below you can read testimonials from some of the individuals I have had the pleasure of working with.

  • Eve Williams, Leicester UK

To me, her yoga practice is the epitome of meditation for the body. Her phrase and lived philosophy “come as you are - that's where I'll meet you” is the real embodiment of her classes. Every *shape* not only is suggested to be entirely optional but actually is, and you really feel that in her presence. It’s really quite difficult to explain until you're lying on your mat, making the decision for yourself of what feels good for you in that precise moment knowing that it’s fully accepted by your teacher to be going your own way. Every time I finish a class with Freya I have the same thought “that is exactly what I needed.” Her philosophy extends beyond the mat too. Turn up in your pjs, recommended. Haven’t brushed your hair in five days, that’s fine. Arrive with a belly full of spaghetti, no problem.

  • Lauren, Leicester UK

Freya’s classes came into my life at a perfect and much needed time. After months of trying to find anything to help my recovery after a huge burn out that impacted every part of my life, Freya’s classes have been exactly what I needed to help the healing process. I have been to so many yoga classes, and Freya’s classes are truly special, nurturing and so welcoming. Freya teaches in a way that makes you feel comfortable in your own body, and makes yoga accessible. I am so grateful to have found such a nurturing teacher, and such a beautiful soul and would highly recommend her classes.

  • Lucy, Leicester UK

So this was the year, I found myself in my darkest place. Every area of my life fell apart. Riddled with anxiety and shadowed by the dark cloud of depression is where I found Freya. It was in her shapes being guided by her old soul wisdom that I found moments of peace. Moments in which I could just be. I disconnected with everything I loved during this dark time. But not yoga with Freya. It takes a very special person to create a safe space in which one can breathe into their pain. And I’m very lucky to have found that person in Freya.
