work with me 1:1

I believe self-care shouldn’t have to always be a solo endeavour. Having someone in your corner, supporting you, offering gentle guidance and providing a sounding board on your best & most difficult days is integral to true well-being.

In these 1:1 sessions, I provide a combination of yoga therapy, mentoring, reflective exercises, somatic counselling, guided relaxation, restorative yoga, functional movement & breath work. How we use these therapeutic practices is entirely informed by you, your feelings, needs and mood.

This part of my work isn’t necessarily about getting you from A to B. You aren’t a problem that needs fixing. Instead, it’s about having a space where you are met exactly where you are, and through this developing compassion and understanding to support and celebrate yourself in your daily life.

I offer these sessions both in-person in Leicester within a beautiful, easy-to-access studio (Yoga House) and online, via Zoom.

these sessions could be for you if :

  • You have been struggling with your mental and / or emotional health for some time and are looking for a supportive space where you can understand and navigate these challenges through a more personal, tailored, somatic (down-up / body-mind) approach;

  • You have been diagnosed with a health condition and are looking for a complimentary therapy to support you alongside primary health care provision (e.g. medical treatment, psychotherapy or physiotherapy);

  • You have an idea about what might help, (e.g. taking time to rest) but you’re finding it hard to do those things on your own and want some accountability, guidance and personalised support;

  • You feel stressed, tired or burned out and in need of a space to rest, recover and recharge at your own pace;

  • You find group classes a bit intimidating or overwhelming, and you’d like to explore therapeutic practices that are more personal, tailored to you and adapted to meet your needs;

  • You want to move in a way that makes you feel strong and capable that doesn’t stress you out or involve contorting yourself into complicated asanas or sweating it out in the gym.

If you feel like this might be for you, please get in touch for a chat. There is no expectation to commit to anything right away. Most people who get in touch initially don’t know why it is that they reached out; it was just a feeling and they felt compelled to. We often figure out the reason later and over time.

Below you can read testimonials from some of the individuals I have had the pleasure of working with.

  • Georgie, London UK

    “1-1 yoga with Freya has become a highlight of my week. Our sessions always start with a chat and with her warmth, humour and kindness, Freya creates a safe space for sharing how I'm feeling and then magically tailors the class to meet me where I'm at. I usually come away from the class with a new shape or flow to weave into my own practice but often something else too; a lifted mood, a different perspective, an idea to explore further... I'm grateful to have Freya (and her knowledge and wisdom) supporting me on my wellbeing journey.”

  • Chela, Leicester UK

    “Not only has she got the most relaxing voice ever, Freya is a great teacher and listener. She has showed me tools and perspectives that I will use forever. To me, Freya is a comfort space to unload and unwind and for that I am most grateful.”

  • Kim, Leicester UK

    “She is so compassionate, non-judgemental and is SO good at giving pointers to really get the most out of the poses safely…The sessions were like my own bespoke workshop and I have gotten so much out of it.”

  • Isabella, Berlin Germany

    “There is unbelievable dedication, kindness, and courage in Freya’s work, there is wisdom and curiosity… at the end of each practice I walk away with a full heart, a joyous dizziness, and a feeling of hope, and that is why, sometimes, I call it magic.”
